In all seriousness though, it is a great thing to re-charge the proverbial batteries and re-connect in marriage. Life is busy and can be stressful, and we were starting to really feel it in more ways than one. So, we started planning a few days away, but soon decided that perhaps we couldn't really do it. Then, we received a most generous gift from some very great friends and we were able to go! So we headed down to Seattle, a place we've never been, and took in some sights. It was a wonderful time of relaxation, rest and re-connecting. We did the usual sightseeing things, and spent time relaxing in the hottub and thoroughly enjoyed our hotel's awesome full breakfast that came with the deal! (and of course, we took extra food along for our day outings so we didn't have to buy lunch!). Thanks you-know-who ..... we couldn't have done this without you. Here are some photos of our time away!

We had a great time away ..... and when we got back, we took our kids downtown Vancouver to take in some Olympic sites. Will post about that next!
