Edmonton weekend

A pictorial blogpost of my weekend in Edmonton!

Flying enroute to Edmonton via WestJet. Good times eh Lee? Perhaps I should post a video of that eh?

:-) Here we are taxi-ing in to Edmonton airport after a delay at the Calgary airport due to a mechanical problem with our plane. :-)

My brother Neil - ahem - make that CONSTABLE DEHAAS.

Celebrating at the banquet that night, dressed up and partying! :-) It was so awesome to be there, to celebrate and be real proud of my brother's accomplishments - and that of his wife Laura - my fab sister in law!

It was totally awesome to be there, have I said that yet?

Neil has been through a very trying 18 months. Laura has been through a trying 18 months. And God gave them both the strength to endure, and continue.
Neil suffered a dislocated shoulder - causing him to be deferred and have to start all over again. That was a HUGE setback. Not just physically, but mentally. And yet, he persevered. Laura was a fantastic support, and helped him every step of the way. Other people including my Dad and our cousin Danny were also a huge support. A broken wrist only set him back a bit later on. And despite that all, he went on to graduate - with the honour of being valedictorian! What a proud moment for him and Laura and all of us!
Being at the official ceremonies was soooo cool. It was pretty neat to watch them march, and be all official looking. I wish I could post all the videos here. Maybe one post at a time?

It was a great weekend ...and I will do a post later with some quadding, tractor, dog, and rifle pics from the remainder of the weekend! Booyah!
